Croatia June 27 2026

Private Charter Croatia - June 27th 2026

The Boat

Picture
The boat we will be on ( booking confirmation pending) is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 519.
51 feet long she is a classic monohull with sloop rig.
She has a good size saloon, 5 cabins and 3 heads (bathrooms).
Below is a video walkthrough of the same boat.

Overview: what's included

I have sailed in Croatia as a commercial captain for 4 years now and have some favourite destinations that I would love to return to.
I currently sail a fairly set route so this week of the 27th it will be great to be free to go where the best sailing is and the best bays, islands and towns.

The cost of the yacht will be covered by the cabin charge of €1,200 per cabin.
In addition to the cabin cost there are local fees and costs: such as fuel, food and marina fees. For this we will all pay €150 in cash to a kitty. This will buy all the food for the boat and bottled water, as well as pay costs.
If we need more we all chip in, if there is cash left at the end of the week it is shared out.

The food we buy will be breakfast items (let me know if you want anything particular such as a cereal or jam - no Marmite here!). We will also buy items to make sandwiches for lunch each day and have salads. Then we will have some evening meals on board (working together to cook and washup) and I will make a menu plan for that (let me know in advance of any dietary requirements).
Soft drinks, alcohol and snacks are not included in the group kitty so please plan to BYO.

The Itinery

We will start in Trogir, very near Split airport. The bus is easy and just €2.50 but an Uber makes luggage easier. I'd avoid local taxis if you can as they are expensive.
Trogir is beautiful and a world heritage site. So well worth a look aroubnd.

Day 1: Saturday 27
We will meet at the yacht at (TBC) 2pm and you can find your cabin and leave your bags. Then off to the shops for any essential items like sun cream, snacks and drinks.
Meet back on the yacht for a briefing at 3pm
Depart 3.30pm
Evening in Vinisce where we will anchor in the quiet fishing harbour bay. Swim from the boat and relax.
Dinner will be a group affair at Konobo Vinisce  which we love and does classic Croatian food.

Day 2. Sunday 28th
Depending on the wind we will either head north to Rogoznica or South to Vis. I'm goin with North but if the wind is against us we may flip this route round, but I still aim to get to the same places if possible.
Rozoznica is a lobvely island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Here we will tie up to the dock so we can walk off the boat and explore the island. It has a path all the way around and lots of swim spots.
Dinner on board - unless you want to try a local restaurant on your own. There are great ice cream shops here so a strol after dinner with an ice cream is highly recommended.

Day 3. Monday 29th
Leave and stop for lunch in a nice bay at the bottom of the island of Zlarin. Maybe stick our head in to Primeston on the way.
On after lunch up the coast and a river inlet to Sibenic . World Heritage and home to castles featured in Game of Thrones.
The evening here is a great chance to explore and we will be on the dock again so easy to get on and off.
Dinner onboard or as you wish.

Day 4. Tuesday 30th
Off to sail around the islands and explore. Lunch probably somewhere around Kaprije Island
Then in the evening on anchor probably in Stupica Bay. Swimming from the boat and having fun in the water!
Dinner on board.

Day 5. Wednesday 1st
A big sail south to Vis island. Hopefully as far as Komiza, my favourite place in the area for sure, its beautiful.
If we get there in time of lunch we will have this in a bay that was a set for Mama Mia 2 (the hotel landing at the start of the movie and a lovely bay)
We will most likely be on a swinging mooring so more swimming from the boat. Trips in to town in the tender. Great ice cream here too!
Dinner on board - apart from Mama Mia fans who may want to go to the famous restaurant where Colin Firth fell in the water (so I'm told! ;)

Day 6. Thursday 2nd
Before we go there will be the chance to visit the famous Blue Cave of Croatia. You get a speedboat there which is half the fun!
Sail off as soon as everyone is onboard and a lunch stop in the bay outside Vis town where there is a really cool Cold War submarine base we can swim in to.
On in the afternoon to the Pakleni Islands for a night on anchor. Beautiful and tranquil and you will see so many stars at night. Swimming from the boat and relaxing. Dinner on board.

Day 7. Friday 3rd
Off we go and there are plenty of options for swim stops on the way. So we will probably stop a few times in great bays for a swim and lunch.
Later on we will arrive back in Trogir (the boat has to be in by 6pm)
We spend the night on board and there will be the chance to have dinner together in a local rerstaurnt - or if you are fed up of the sight of each other, on your own!

Day 8. Saturday 4th
After breakfast fond farewells to your new friends and off the boat by 9am sharp!
