CommunicationHuman communication is complicated. It is more than just words. There are looks, gestures, body language, non words and so much more. To be a good communicator the first thing you need to to do is make a connection with people. This means getting past their initial distrust, or scepticism, for you and what you have to say. Particularly important to sale people. Gaining people's trust is done not so much with words as it is with all the other tools we have available to communicate.

One to one CommunicationThere are many types of people that we meet every day. They can be categorised and broken down using several systems and tests. One of which is the DISA system. This is mostly used in work situations, and it can be helpful to make one aware of ones personality type. It is also very useful in dealing with others. Each personality type responds differently to communication. It is possible to tailor your way of speaking and communication to better communicate with each type. In this way someone might think "this is great, they are speaking my language". When this happens your message will be much more effective and you will get results.
The start of this journey to better one to one communication is to know what personality type you are. |
